IRS approved certificate authorities for IDES (International Data Exchange Service
IDES only recognizes and accepts digital certificates issued by IRS approved certificate authorities.
FATCA, obliges foreign financial institutions FFI (Foreign Financial Institutions) to subscribe to an agreement with the American Tax Administration IRS (Internal Revenue Service), through IDES (International Data Exchange Service). Institutions must provide information of US citizens and residents, as well as foreign companies of US capital.
