ASOBAN
ASOBAN, Asociación de Bancos de Bolivia,has incorporated Digital Signature in the process of Electronic Check Clearing and ACH.
CHALLENGE
ASOBAN has been operating the only Electronic Check Clearing House for more than ten years by delegation of the Central Bank of Bolivia.
In 2003, ASOBAN designed a completely electronic system so that interbank Clearing operations could be carried out completely On-Line and for this to be possible, it needed the operators of all banking entities to have an authentication and digital signature service.
SOLUTION
ASOBAN incorporated the VeriSign Managed PKI service in 2004 through which it issues and manages the digital certificates that the Clearing system operators use to authenticate and digitally sign the electronic documentation that transits in said system.
Similarly, ASOBAN operates the ACH (Automated Clearing House).
