CertiSur debuta en Ekoparty: innovación en confianza digital y los desafíos de la ciberseguridad

At the twentieth edition of Ekoparty, the renowned cybersecurity convention, Argentine company CertiSur made its first official appearance at the event. Néstor Markowicz, the company's CEO, shared with Prensario TI Latin America the details of its arrival at the conference, the technology solutions it is presenting and the fast-moving challenges facing the digital security industry.

Solutions for digital trust

CertiSur's main goal at Ekoparty was to bring its digital trust solutions to a highly specialized audience that actively uses this kind of technology. From its solutions portfolio, Markowicz highlighted several lines of innovation:

  • Certificate management: Issuance of SSL certificates for websites, complemented by Discovery Automation tools to simplify their administration. They are also presenting X9 certificates designed to replace the old Client Authentication certificates.
  • Communications and document security: Verified Mark Certificates to secure corporate email, PKI structures for secure document retrieval, and tools that guarantee document integrity and authorship across different platforms.
  • Identity validation: Critical tools in today's context, where identity validation is an essential requirement for operating securely with any customer.
  • Authenticity in the face of Artificial Intelligence: The adoption of the C2PA protocol, a standard the company recently began working on to ensure that images, texts or videos —whether created by people or by AI— keep their integrity and original authorship without being altered along the way.

The challenges for the end of 2026: automation and Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)

Looking ahead to 2026, CertiSur is facing high demand for inquiries due to a key regulatory change: the reduction in the lifespan of digital certificates. This situation is forcing organizations to automate their management processes with Discovery Automation tools.

Markowicz reflected on the speed of technological change in the sector: ‘It took us 25 years to go from 512-bit certificates to 1024 or 1048, and now we have 200-day certificates, 100-day certificates and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) ahead of us’. Given this landscape, the firm's main challenge is keeping its customers up to date to avoid any kind of vulnerability.

The human factor as a differentiator

When asked what sets CertiSur apart in a competitive market, the CEO did not hesitate to point to his team. According to Markowicz, the brand's differentiator lies in its highly trained professionals in PKI, security and digital signature technologies, together with a support team dedicated to listening to and directly solving its customers' problems.
